Production blog: Start to Filming

 Today is the day I start filming. I'm writing this before because I have a full day ahead. I plan to start in the outside locations as there will still be sunlight. If I do it as the sun is going down, it will create darker lighting. This could be good as it adheres to common traits of horror films. Darker lighting creates more of an ominous mood. This is just one idea. It's important to me to keep some of the common elements. This is why the villain will be easy to spot. I also have thought more about the music I wish to add. I don't want to go through the trouble of asking for permission as most released songs are copyrighted. For this reason, I plan to use a free soundtrack. This soundtrack will have an ominous, yet fast-paced sound. Almost as if it will represent adrenaline rushing through the body. My actor will be a teenage girl. She will represent vulnerability. The kidnapper will represent predatory behavior. This is my base plan. My next production blog will detail how the day went. Finally, some progress is being made.

 So at this point, I'm 100% sure of my song choice. I know I'm not the only one by Sam Smith is my final decision, no changing it now. As my storyboard shows, I'm not the best artist. In this blog, I will take the time to detail each of the 12 squares. Each of the scenes is only in 2 locations, so I can't foresee a problem with filming. Zephyrhills filming commercial blog

 Throughout the filming of my commercial, I ran into a multitude of problems that put me behind schedule. The weather was bad, which I had planned for, but I still wanted to keep the main concept of my commercial. In order to do this, I had to push the filming date back until the weather was more suitable. To begin the filming process, I took the shots I could do from home. The backyard shot, as well as the slow-motion scene showcasing the water, was done first. I shot each scene on my iPhone. The next step, was the beach scene as it was the furthest away so I wanted to get it done. The process was short, as I only did three takes, incorporating a selection of angles for me to chose from. The next scene I shot at was the park. I found a small park next to my house filled with natural light. I felt this was the perfect place to make my shot look like in incorporated nature.  Hello! My name is Madison Riggs. I am an 11th-grade student and I currently attend Fort Lauderdale Highschool. I am 16, turning 17 in November, and that's something I'm quite looking forward to. I participate in the Marching Band as well as Symphonic Winds. I have played the flute since the third grade. I also play piccolo and a bit of piano, and I enjoy using my time making music. I would consider band my number one hobby but along with that, I have 2 dogs I love spending time with.
